New Halo: Reach Campaign Trailer

Bungie are working up to a big release for what they’re optimistically calling “the most anticipated game of 2010”. From what I saw of it earlier this year and in the multiplayer beta it’s looking like Bungie are going all-out to make this the best Halo installment yet.

This new trailer, entitled The Battle Begins, demonstrates the flair Bungie have for cinematics as well as showing off a few impressive visual touches from the stripped and rebuilt Halo engine.

We’re keeping an eye on Halo: Reach and we’ll bring you more as we get it.

  1. I played the very first game and thought – what makes this so impressive that it sells by the bucket load, and then promptly moved onto other generic space based FPS. I know the Halo series is hailed as one of the greatest but I just never “got” it in the first place. Maybe I should’ve stuck with it -who knows?

Impressive trailer, though – but I’m Halo sure enthusiasts will have seen most of what Halo has to offer already? After all, how innovative can it be in FPS terms?

    • the first halo game I played was halo 3, it is also the last game, I just dint get it.

  2. I’m not really into halo, but I hope it’s v good because a few million people are really looking forward to it and it would be bad for gaming in general if it was average.

    • It think it would be pretty good for the gaming industry if this game would turn out to be average. Same thing for all the other franchises that keep on going without much innovation.

  3. Amazing trailer, can’t wait.

    • same mate, same :) be nice to shoot elites again instead of idiot-gorillas.

  4. Looks really slick….

bet the 360-ers are buzzing over this….

  5. Most anticipated game of 2010? I’d say that was Gran Turismo, but nice looking trailer!

    • You got that right mate….

    • GT5 was the most anticipated game of 2007, 2008 and 2009. Let’s give something else a chance, lol.

      • I dont think it was ment to be officially released for ”2007, 2008 and 2009” like i said before, the best thing PD could have done is keep their mouths shut with the dates and released a date when times were rite. looking forward to see REACH’S sales.

    • Hey now, I’d say that Starcraft 2 was the most anticipated game of 2010. 10 years in development is a good enough reason to make it the most anticipated game for the year.

    • gt5 certainly my
even if i had a xbox aswell as my ps3

  6. I want

    • Me too, I will probably end up buying another 360 for it :)

      • I did the same for halo 3 – bought a 360. Unfortunately it wasn’t great and then the 360 RROD shortly afterwards so I got rid. Am I going to make the same mistake again? Possibly.

  7. Cant wait!

  8. now there’s a game i’d buy new. :)
for the record, i didn’t buy odst, that was the only halo game i haven’t got, apart from halo wars.
    but this does look good.
and that forge world, much like LBP i think people will do things with that that nobody expected.
and i can’t wait to see what rooster teeth do with the game either. :)

    • Halo ODST was the only Halo game I haven’t been through too. Played the opening levels at a mates and it all just felt “straight to video”.

  9. I am considering getting an Xbox 360 JUST for this game. It looks spectacular :) Yes, Halo is one of the most overrated franchises in the industry but that doesn’t mean it’s not a damn fine game.

  10. Most anticipated game of 2010? For Xbox players that is, right? Because in general it’s GT5 all the way.

Anyways, also looking forward to this game. Look’s great!
