Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II PSP Cancelled

It looks like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II on the PSP has been struck down by a Sith’s Lightsaber.  Instead of becoming more powerful than you can imagine however, it’s just dead.  A LucasArts representative confirmed the news to IGN, but declined to offer comment on the game’s cancellation. The PC, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 and iPhone versions are still in development.

  1. psp ports are never much good. They need more portable friendly games on psp like loco roco and patapon instead of porting ps3 games to it.

    • agreed, loco roco and patapon are awesome

    • I quite enjoyed the Tomb Raider games on PSP. I probably wouldn’t have bought TFU on PSP, but would have been nice to have the option :(

    • I don’t know about porting PS3 games over but usually they just ported over the PS2 version.

No PS2 version under development and now no PSP version. Coincidence or paranoia?

  2. Probably coz it wouldn’t make them any money :o(

  3. I was surprised to see it announced on PSP in the first place, seeing as the last game’s PSP version was crap and sold accordingly.

Still, a further hint at the PSP’s slow demise is never a good thing. Still, the next few months is looking pretty good for PSP games at least, I can see at least four day one buys for it between now and God of War time.

  4. *cough*PSP2*cough*
