When we played Motorstorm Apocalypse a few months back we thought it played pretty well, looked nice enough and had plenty of potential. We’d heard vague mutterings of a 2011 release window, but that’s about as big a window as you can get so it’s nice to know that Sony have since locked down the release of the fourth game in the series to a specific month: February.
Yep, according to an apparent PDF distributed at Gamescom, the end of the world racer will be out during the decidedly wintery second month and will be bolstered by stacks of DLC via the PlayStation Store. “Thousands of new customisable vehicles, parts and graphics” will be available to buy, according to the same PDF, so expect microtransactions to be very apparent just as Los Angeles starts to fall apart.

Excellent, i’m really looking forward to this game – evolution studios are being quite ambitious but if it all comes together it’ll be a brilliant game. The footage of the latest build is already looking pretty good!

There is also news tht there will be DLC in the following weeks for it as well… (hope it doesn’t take as long as the Pacific Rift DLC… :P)

I think this is a good thing. Have look at how many games are being relased in next 3 months. Some game will get lost in Xmas rush. Last year it was better.

I loved Motorstorm one of my fave PS3 games, but really couldn’t get on with PR. I hope Evolution are focusing on more than just graphics and sequel-syndrome this time around
