The Last Guardian Gets New Screen Shots

As if we weren’t excited enough, Famitsu has posted several new screens from ‘The Last Guardian’, as well as a couple from the ICO and SOTC re-release.  Hopefully the Sony conference will be full to bursting with new information.  Pretty please Sony?

  3. Why does it look like there’s a thick layer of fog between me and the screen? Is that some sort of ‘trendy’ art style I’m just not getting?

    • Magazine scans?

    • Ueda’s style features overexposed, desaturated light and bloom effects quite heavily.

      • That explains it. I wondered if it was just an effect of scanning the images, as Chris said, but it appears to be on every single image out there. Not sure if I like it.

      • Perhaps there’ll be an option to alter this, otherwise you’ll just have to get used to it. Wait until you see it in motion though – it may be fine!

      • Worst comes to worst just crank up the contrast on your tv. I’m not a big fan of the saturation effect, but i’ll easily get over it, for all these games :)

  6. The TLG screens truly look gorgeous! I’m seriously hyped for all of these three (two?). I hope we’ll get something nice tomorrow, hopefully in the form of gameplay and ofcourse more info!

  7. Lovely to see how hardware has come on. From Ico (which started life being developed for the PS1 even though it came out for the PS2) to SOTC and now TLG. Regardless of platform, the style is beautiful.

  8. I’d love to see some comparison shots of the ICO collection and the original games.

  9. really anticipating the ICO collection even though I haven’t played either game. just as I hadn’t played God of War 1 or 2 before I got that collection.
