I cannot express how happy that headline makes me. As the owner of an import SEGA Saturn I have been treated to some fantastic shoot’em’ups over the years – but Radiant Silvergun has always managed to elude me; mainly due to its extortionate price tag on EBay. Made by the Treasure – the team behind Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes and Ikaruga (to name but a few) – the game has a reputation for being one of the best of its genre.
Well the good news is an updated version is on its way to Xbox LIVE next spring featuring an enhanced chain system, updated visuals and online co-op. Check out the video below of the original in action.
Now if you’ll excuse me I really need to go and lay down for a while.

Amazing, I always wanted this.
I’m not sure why SEGA don’t give the PS3 some loving there’s loads of their back catalogue titles on the Live Marketplace, but watching the boss battle in the 2nd half of that vid it would be far too hardcore for today’s whipper snappers brought up on regenerative health and unlimited saves.

Thought Space Invaders: Infinity Gene was pretty terrible. The freeware game, Genetos, which has a similar concept, is better in virtually every respect.
