Assassin’s Creed EU Beta Announcement

James Thorpe from the EU PS Blog has confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer Beta will be available to all EU PS Plus subscribers from September 27th:

“We promised yesterday that we have something very special lined up for PlayStation Plus members and we’re now able to reveal that you will able to take part in the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer Beta at the pre-testing phase from 27 September.

This means that Plus members will be able to access the beta one week before anyone else.

We’ll have more detailed information on what the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer Beta includes before 27 September, so stay tuned.”

With talk of the US Beta being limited to a select number of PS Plus subscribers, it’s good to see all of the EU lot being invited.

  1. I know PS+ Members were meant to get exclusive beta invites, but I thought they were permanent exclusives, not a week long one.
    so far what we’ve got extra* from PS+ is a couple of demo’s a week early, a game 2 weeks early, and this beta, 1 week early.
    *In addition to the month-by-month content.

    • i think its pathetic and i feel sorry for the subscribers> they should get full access and no one else for signing up. one week early, whoopy do

      • sounds like school lol. Well Sony promised beta access, but surely just for a week is a bit meeeh? I was glad to see something, but to be honest expected P+ subscribers to get it alone, and no one else. I’m glad they don’t because I’m not in it, but if I was one, I would be a bit miffed.

        What grade do I get tuffcub?

      • I got my beta invite when I pre-ordered the game. Why should subscribers who might not even care about the game get priority over me?

        People who want to play your game enough to actually buy it would be the target audience I’d be going after with a beta.

    • You get inclusive games & stuff in return for the subscription, anything else is a bonus, I don’t think they could give more – I already feel like I’m ripping them off

      • Agreed. I’ve already downloaded well over the amount that I paid and it’s only been three months out of twelve.

      • Same here. Just need an eye mask and a swag sack to make it complete.

      • I didn’t mean it like that, as I said in addition too, it was described in the details of plus that we’d get exclusive beta’s and to me that suggests more than a weeks exclusivity.

      • Did it say “Exclusive Betas for six months before anyone else?” – No. It said exclusive betas – it did not say how long for. You can not complain because you assumed something which was clearly never mentoined or implied.

      • I’ve been very happy with the content so far considering what I’ve paid. A lot of minis have been far better than I’d expected and I was quite pleased by Sam and Max (wasn’t the greatest but really miss point and clicks).

  5. I preordered this from shopto to get the beta access and I’m subscribed to PS+ so I can’t figure out if I feel ripped off or not.

    • I was going to pre order it from Play with the Beta Access but now I don’t have too.
      Odd seeing that for the difference to pre ordering and PS+

  7. I am a PS+ user and I am preety pleased about this. I was going to pre-order the game for the Beta, but didn’t want to commit to a place when the price may be too high. This way I get the beta asnd can shop around, also getting the beta before others is even better.

    I am surprised at people that are PS+ and annoyed at this, it is not like every user on PSN gets this, so technically (or as I see it) it is exclusive.

  8. Is this going to be an open beta for everyone after a week? Or just the preorders?

    • I guess it isn’t. So that’s quite a nice gift for the Plussers (incl. me :))

  10. I knew they would do something the day I went away for a week. Looks like I’ll have a spare beta code though cos I’ve already pre-ordered it and set it up on assassinscreed.com, just waiting for an email for when the beta starts
