I’m in no way, shape, or form a golfist – so I’m going by other people’s opinion when I say that the new Tiger Woods game with Move support didn’t live up to expectations. So now it’s the turn of John Daly’s ProStroke Golf – and to prove it works, a short demonstration has been filmed. From my point of view it doesn’t look too bad at all – what do you all think?

Video only plays less than 1 minute’s worth of footage for me :'(

Not sure why mate – I’ve just watched the whole thing and it seems to be working fine.

This looks really good, and well realistic! That whoosh and ping when he took the first proper swing were really satisfying!
Will be on the lookout for more info about this one for sure!

well i got move, so i’ll get this.

With Move Demo? any ideas when this is out?
bunimomike
Ah, now that looked lovely assuming it was synced (with the view and the bloke at the same time). Really accurate, and how you could adjust your shot was lovely. Pit about Daly’s train-wreck trousers!

Can’t believe Tiger Woods is borked and there’s no word from EA on a patch but I suppose their patching system is just wait till next year’s release.
Hopefully this game works & if it does we can worry about how good it is after that.

Everything where Daly succeeds and Woods fails can definitely be sorted with a patch. I have to say, the demo of Woods (2010) got a fair old seeing to from me last year. Very enjoyable and cathartic. If a good golf game comes out and shows off Move properly (eg. Daly) then I’m in.

This does look really good and move is well implemented. I haven’t heard how EA screwed up with Tiger Woods and move, anyone care to let me know?

According to official playstation magazine, due to the lesser amount of buttons on the move controller, many options are not available such as adding spin and power boost. The move controller can’t be used to navigate the menus, and aiming your pint is very twitchy. Putting is apparently almost impossible to line up as a slight movement of the controller results in a huge movement on screen. Disappointing, because if it worked well i would’ve bought tiger woods for move. John daly is looking impressive though, mainly because the whole game was built with move in mind, whereas with tiger woods it was an afterthought that was patched in. Still, there’s a lot of hope for next year’s tiger.

That should’ve been pint not pint
tonycawley
Oh my god. Dumb fucking phone. Pint pint pint!
tonycawley
I give up. Work it out for yourselves. I’m off for a shot.
tonycawley
Ok. Shot, pint. Right it works. What the fuck?

Breathe, Tony, breathe! The wood-panelled station wagon will be along shortly to collect you.

Dear god this made me laugh :op

Only tried the Move controller on TW11 once, and won’t be trying it again – it just feels tacked on. The game still feels like it’s been designed for the Dualshock.
At least John Daly looks like it’s been designed for Move from the start. The foot-down view looks far better to measure your swing, but if there’s no demo of this, I’m not gonna risk it unless the price is right

Thank heavens TW’11 only uses Move and not a real golf club, or i’d have smashed something in frustration at this stage.
Any golf game which can reduce that frustration is worth a pint – i mean shot. :)

Liking the look of this. Certainly looks realistic. One thing I’ve really noticed the Move is that you actually have to have some ability when it comes to games you are playing, unlike a lot of the games on the Wii.

Looks very impressive – surprised they haven’t done a Kinect version!
