A case of Castlevania Chinese Whispers:  “Castlevania bug causing PS3 chaos” screams one headline but if we backtrack through about five different publications to the original source of this “chaos” we find that the bug has hit a total of three PS3 gamers.
Nevertheless your Castlevania gaming may be in danger so here is a warning: Make a back up of your save file. In a couple of cases the PS3 version of Castlevania has declared the save file corrupt and then deletes your hard work and creates a brand new save file. Konami have yet to comment on the problem.
For those of you unsure how much ‘chaos’ this bug is causing, I have created a simple graph, I hope you find it useful.

As for the save file, seems that it’s the PS3 version that’s screwey. From what I’ve read the Xbox version fixes the save and the PS3 tries to but fails and overwrites it.

Touch wood mine has been ok, only 3 chapters in after 8 hours of gameplay so not a lot to lose if it did go ‘pete tong’ and i can honestly say i’m glad i got rid of GoW3 for this lol

It’s not that cutscene heavy as far as I can tell, but seriously, I’d take a Kojima produced cutscene over some of the mind numbing combat in this game any day.
