When I went hands on with DKCR a few weeks ago I was taken completely by surprise at how difficult it is. If you were to go by its looks, you could easily dismiss it as ‘just another kiddy game’, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. The new trailer gets this point across somewhat, showing some of the pixel perfect jumping that will be required.

Nintendo’s joyous colourful graphics do give the impression that they are ‘kiddy games’ but the precision, pixel perfect platforming and absolutely spot-on timing you need, along with some ingenius puzzling for completionists means there is a great gaming experience for anyone who wants a challenge and doesn’t ridiculously look down their nose at what the Wii really offers.

This may not be for everyone, but I for one am loving the return of some fantastic classic games (that for me personally are what gaming is all about), like Sonic :) Hadn’t heard about the above game until now, looks like a must buy! Even if I will have to play it on my housemates wii..

Definitely getting this. Just got the new Limited Edition Red Wii. I’ve got the original SNES games and they are one of my favourite games of all time.

Not jealous…not jealous at all (I hate you :oD)

:D When I first saw the red Wii, I really wanted it and when I saw it for £149 on Asda Direct I just went for it. A bit of classic Donkey Kong, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Sports with the new Wii Remote Plus. A pretty decent package. And there’s some stellar games coming out for Wii atm: DK, Kirby, Goldeneye and Zelda in early 2011.
Should keep me entertained for a while :D

I wish there would be games like this on the ps3… Solid Platformers is what I miss most of all when it comes to gaming.
