In one of those ever-so-handy-for-leaks investor calls, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg has let not one but three cats out of a single bag.
“In addition to Call of Duty in 2011 we will have new release from our other proven franchises including the Hero brand, Spider-Man, X-Men and Transformers, which will be supported by what is expected to be another major blockbuster movie from Michael Bay,” he said.
I bet you were getting all excited about a sequel for War For Cybertron, weren’t you? Bad luck, it’s the game-of-the-movie and statastically has about as much chance of being brilliant as Kovacs has of winning America’s Next Top Model. [Because I’m not American, right? – Kovacs]
The new Spiderman movie is out next year and, quelle suprise, the next X-Men movie is also released in 2011.
Aside: The Transformers movie has the rather arty-farty title “Transformers: Dark Of The Moon” and begins in the 1960s during the space race. Recent filming around the NASA space shuttle launch pad has lead to rumours that the now decomissioned shuttle will turn out to be a humungous Transformer.
Back to games, and you may of noticed the mention of a new Hero game. Will it be Guitar, DJ or Cowbell?

Can’t they just remake Web of Shadows without the bugs? That’d be good.
