EA has released a new trailer for the upcoming expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Titled ‘Vietnam’, the pack will have four new multiplayer maps based on the Vietnam War.
“Each map brings a new gameplay experience and fresh visuals, with characteristics such as foxholes, tunnels and dense jungles from where the enemy can launch surprise attacks. Also, 15 classic Vietnam-era weapons and 6 vehicles are available from the moment you go online.”
It’s due out this winter for 1200 MS points, or $15.

It’s not really the map construction that’s the issue. It’s the fact you spawn on a team mate. When said team mate stays in the same spot sniping the whole match, the opposition knows where you’re going to spawn. I don’t like it. In fact i’ve stood in front of my sniping team mate, right in front of his barrel so he couldn’t see, for ages. He moved. So i moved and stood in front of him again. He got annoyed and sent me a psn message. I told him he just lost us the match as we were attacking and all spawning on him, miles from objective. Idiots. Attacking can be kinda difficult when 6 of your 11 team mates are sniping. They should’ve put a limit of 2 snipers per team on the game, would’ve improved it massively.

I’m a recon but get up close and personal with the enemy a lot, using the VSS, type 88, SVU or G3. I love using C4 on vehicles as well. I’d hate having that class limited.
Generally, a well ordered 4 player squad with headsets can rip apart a 10 player team very easily when attacking, try playing with TSA’ers :)

I’m looking forward to this but I still think they missed a trick and should have released it as a standalone game like BF1943.
Why?
I doubt many people are going to buy BFBC2 just to play the mod which will cost around £9.99 so its now limited to people who already have the game and some people who have BFBC2 may not even want to buy the mod in case they sell BFBC2.
So yeah i will get it but I am disapointed its not a standlone digital download like BF1943 that i can just launch from my HDD without a disc!

probably wont bother with this, hey, maybe it will come free with ps+ one day lol. I havent touched battlefield for ages, and with black ops incoming, I probably wont play it for a long time
