Entertainment Weekly has just posted up the epitome of a teaser for next year’s Uncharted. Subtitled “Drake’s Deception”, the third part is indeed set in the desert. As reported on the site:
The story focuses on the hero’s relationship with his mentor and father figure, fan fave Victor “Sully” Sullivan, and has him searching for a legendary lost city that will ultimately take him to the Arabian Peninsula and the vast wasteland of the Rub’ al Khali Desert, also known as the Empty Quarter.
The plot of Uncharted 3 draws more from Drake’s exploits as well as from the life of T.E. Lawrence – not from his militant days as the fabled “Lawrence of Arabia,” but rather the Brit’s early years as an archaeologist.

UC2 has gathered quite a bit of dust, I don’t think I event got to the 2nd level, so will probably give this a miss, unless videos show it to be awesome.

Videos showed that Uncharted 2 was awesome and you didn’t get past the first level (which is nothing but a taster of what’s to come. It’s slow, has little action, and is meant to set up the story.)

The ‘teaser’ trailer doesn’t really show a thing, but I’m still really excited!! :) I can’t wait to find out more about this game as the news flow turns from a trickle into a downpour!! ;)

I’m going to upset a few people but didn’t think uc2 was best game this gen (hides), but thought it was pretty close. With all the hype I’m getting really excited as this has potential to climb to top of said list! Does anyone know expected release period? 2011? Q3?
