Creepy Wii Horror Game ‘Night of the Sacrifice’ Gets Trailer

A trailer for Marvelous Entertainment’s Wii horror title ‘Night of the Sacrifice‘ is now up, and it’s looking pretty good.  The game “follows exploits of five college students who’ve visited Tsukuyomi Ravine, an area that is said to have once had the custom of offering sacrifices to the gods”.

Two player co-op is standard, the Wiimote will be used as a flashlight, and oddly enough players can use the Wii Balance Board – although we aren’t sure what for yet.  Check out the trailer below.

  1. The use of the cartoony character models seems like a strange design choice, but the rest is looking suitably creepy – as you’d expect from the Japanese, who always tend to have the best ideas within the horror genre.

    • I was thinking the same thing around the start of the video, but I think that putting cell shaded characters next to more realistic characters (0:42) in a horror setting is an interesting way of mixing things up. It creates unease by putting something where it doesn’t belong, rather than just covering the walls in blood and dirt.
