Praise the Lord on high, sacrifice a chicken, meditate, do what ever you have to do give thanks that the new Elder Scrolls game will have a brand new engine.
I have spent the whole weekend struggling Fallout: New Vegas which, in spite of the recent comprehensive patch is still crashing repeatedly for me. So, the news that Skyrim will not run on current Bethesda engine is the best news of the year. Nick Breckon, Community Manager at Bethesda, broke the news via Twitter:
We can now confirm that the TES V: Skyrim engine is all-new. And it looks fantastic.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has a release date of November 11, 2011, no formats have been announced yet.

Thank God for the new engine, it was somewhat a letdown that New Vegas was still struggling with that old buggy engine

It seriously better not be as buggy as New Vegas… I crashed THREE times last night, and one quest (Climb e’vry mountain) appears to have bugged so I can’t complete it. I have been loving the game sofar… but I’m not buying any DLC for it >:( not until it crashes less (that patch did bugger all)
