Silent Hill 8 is no more. Don’t worry, Konami hasn’t lost the plot and cancelled the project, instead it’s got a fancy new name – Silent Hill: Downpour. As one can imagine from a title like that, water plays a large part; in fact “It’s falling from the sky! It’s running from the ceiling! It’s in puddles on the ground!”
You play as Murphy Pendelton, an escaped convict who stumbles across a South-Eastern area of Silent Hill which has never before been accessible. It seems that familiar Silent Hill locations such as schools and hospitals won’t be making a return, and sometimes you will forced to attack enemies and then flee. I love Silent Hill games but the last couple have been sh*te, so i`m hoping this one takes it back to what it was and is good

I really enjoyed origins and Homecoming so I was hoping that Climax would be the official SH developer from now on. Although this game does look good, Vatra seem to undertand the principle of Silent Hill a lot more than The Collective who did SH: Homecoming did anyway!
