Traditional Friend Codes Replaced in 3DS

More news from the big gaming event in The Netherlands. They’ve just announced that the system will allow for one friend code per system, which only needs to be entered once and works across all games on the platform.

This has long been an issue for people wanting to play multiplayer games on Nintendo consoles and it seems like Nintendo have listened to fans and reformed the system. Previously codes had to be entered per game for everyone you wanted to play with. While this new system sounds like a cut-down version of that rather than a proper username-driven friends list it is certainly a step in the right direction.

  1. nintendo still pretty backwards when it comes to online then?

    • I wouldn’t say backwards, more like darkages.

Basicaly Nintendo mind set is more like the telephone.

Saying it in right direction is wrong, it nowhere near it. If Nintendo was an ISP there be no place for domains going on as DNS is pointless. As such getting to a web site you have to use its IP address everytime.

Nuts it todays world. Or Nintendo dosn’t give a monkey about On-Line.

  2. The Japanese gaming industry is not geared towards “social interaction” They will always be behind at online gaming. It is not important to the Japanese markets.

    • Nintendo are a chinese company

      • Is that a meme I’m not familiar with? Or are you just incredibly wrong?

  3. Ohh how i would love for nintendo to ditch the whole motion movement for the next console and just go the way of sony and microsoft alot more for hardcore gamers.

but on point with the article this seem’s like its abit of a 2003 thing
