The last time Sony held a “PlayStation Meeting” – a whole six years ago – the PS3 was announced. We’ve known for some time now that Sony are planning a big conference in its hometown of Tokyo on January 27th, but according to Japan-based site Andriasang the event is now being referred to as a long-forgotten “PlayStation Meeting.”
The event is set for just before Sony’s third quarter earnings announcement, with Analyst Yasuaki Fujima, who referenced the event as a PlayStation Meeting in a tweet earlier this week, also claiming that Sony are expected to turn the attention away from Nintendo’s 3DS and onto itself.
Sounds like a PSP2 reveal to us. Now that we’ve had a look at Nintendo’s latest handheld and taken it through its paces, what will it take for Sony to entice you to part with your hard-earned money when they finally release their next portable device?
