Modern Combat: Domination, the quick fire first person shooter from Gameloft that launched last week, has already been hacked on PS3 – even before we’ve managed to get our review out – just like earlier versions of the Call of Duty franchise.
The hack, which takes cruel advantage of the PS3’s recent security breakdown, takes out smoke grenades, adds bullet tracing, ESP and, ultimately, promises ‘god mode’ and ‘wallhacks’. The poster of the video says that he “doesn’t think a tutorial should be posted” and hopes that the developers see this so they “know to patch this ASAP.”
“Please fix this because this game is going to get f*cked hard,” he says. Probably a little bit late for that.

TheSixthAxis does not condone piracy and does not recommend the modification of your console – doing so is against the Terms of Use of the console and is possibly illegal.

I only managed to play against bots on the trial but i enjoyed it and liked the feel of it with a move controller
but i dont see the point in hacking it, completly destroys the work developers have put in and ruins the game for a customer. If anything hire them so u can expect how to be hacked and u can fix a game harmlessly. Not getting this game now after hearing this , i was tempted by the under £5 price tag and i thought it would be good training for KZ3 move

Its times like this that make me mad, i was going to get this game but hell am i buying it now.God forbid a big Sony game gets hacked, if killzone 3 gets hacked that’s it i will be done with online gaming on my PS3. The only way to stop this is to ban all hackers or people with custom firmware from the psn and if that does not work the psn would have to become a paid service with servers hosted by sony.

On a very similar thread, I tried playing COD:MW2 on-line the other day and the games were riddled with hacked scenarios, people flying around, not taking damage, running 10* speed and so on. I ended up taking the disc out and playing something else.
The truth is that these hacks are ruining on-line games for so many people and we need Sony to start standing up to these people. Sony have the capability to prevent console access to the PSN so why don’t they use that power to implement an initial one week ban, then a two week ban, and so on?

Yup, Infinity Ward’s games are useless now and unpatchable – the only console to play them on is the 360
UKZ-N3M1515
Nope, my friend who plays the 360 says Cod4 Mw2 and Blops are hacked there too, Mods on the IW ones and rank/gold gun hacks on Blops. Doubt he would be lying, but he could just be terrible and not be able to get a kill anyway

There are other hacks via the save file which enable you to unlock some weapons or perks, but there isn’t the wide-spread anything goes issues there is with the PS3

I’m absolutely gutted about all this hacking shit. You can’t play MW1 or MW2 as you have a hacker in almost every game. And Black Ops isn’t much better due to the connection issues etc.
The good thing though is that I haven’t seen any hackers in Bad Company 2 so hopefully it isn’t possible to hack that.

Unfortunately if gameloft treat this game like there iOS games, a patch may never arrive and if it does it wont be in the near future.

I didn’t really like the demo, it was crap.
mynameisblair
I really, really hate this.
I’m sure that it’s fun to fly around and do impossible things in the game, but when they bring it to the public lobbies and have an unfair advantage? That’s just terrible.

Sloly the death of the PS3 begins. Sad times.
Grey_Ghost13
*Slowly* too depressed to even type correctly :(
BIGAL-1992
Mate, I don’t this would cause the death of ps3. It’d take nearly every first-party game upon released to do that.

This is the side of hacking I really dislike. Fair enough if people want to tamper with the system to create homebrew, and I can understand (though don’t condone) wanting to get free games. Tampering with the online that affects everyone though, and effectively ruining people’s games, it’s selfish and extremely short-sighted.
Smoutefretter_BE
Really, STOP IT stupid hackers!
this could go very wrong, imagine what it would be if they hack every game, not good!
I hope sony comes with a solution that works and FAST!
TheUgandanGamer
If I remember rightly, the only REAL patch would be to release new hardware, which I don’t really see happening in the near future (way too much work, let alone the costs).
Sony could win people over/deter potential hackers if they included some features which the gamers/casuals really want, such as more full games on the store and more firmware features/upgrades.
Hell, even some form of indie development program – that would drag a fair portion of potential budding programmers over.

man hackers all over the world are pissing me off…
