Housemarque’s CEO Ilari Kuittinen has been speaking to CasualGaming.biz regarding the development of PSN exclusive shooter, Dead Nation. In the interview he is asked if Dead Nation will receive any DLC packs.
“We certainly hope that we are able to continue to work on DLC. The decision is, of course, up to our great publisher, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The game [was] the most downloaded game in the US PlayStation Store download list [in December], so I think there’s a fair chance that we are going to see more of Dead Nation in 2011.”
Earlier on in the interview, Ilari is asked why Dead Nation took longer to develop compared to Super Stardust. He explains that Dead Nation was developed by a team of just twelve people rather than the hundreds who usually work on a AAA title. The lack of resources meant some features were not implemented in the final release of the game but there is good news:
“We see the initial launch only as the beginning of the title as we can start adding more features and publish those as additional DLCs for the game,” said Ilari.
If you were waiting for a portable version then do not hold your breath, Housemarque “don’t have any plans currently regarding the PSP.”

Its really not that hard if you take your time, especially after going through the game once. I completed grim by myself. I just need a partner for the next difficulty and I’ll almost have the platinum.

Voice chat was a BIG omission for the release, but if it’s included in a patch, then you should definitely revisit Dead Nation. It’s a rather awesome game.
