Getting sick of those standard Call of Duty: Black Ops maps yet? Treyarch hears you, and they’re about to deliver a DLC pack strictly out of the kindness of their heart. Ok, so maybe they want you to pay for them too, but at least we didn’t have to wait six months for DLC like with Modern Warfare 2.
For those that don’t know, the DLC pack is called ‘First Strike’ and comes with 5 new maps – 4 multiplayer and 1 zombie. It’ll be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace on February 1 for 1200 points, and likely the beginning of March for PC and the PlayStation Network.

Not spending a cent on this. Treyarch disappointed me by releasing an unfinished game for the PS3. After all the mess PS3 gamers put up with to this point, I think Activision should give us it for free. A man can dream, can he? lol

Severely tempted by this. BlOps is the first CoD game I’ve liked enough to not trade-in after a fortnight. Think I will go for it

On the contrary, it’s the first I’ve considered trading in. The idea behind the game is AWESOME but the actual performance negates the great ideas… And by performance I mean glitches, bugs, and network problems.
I keep it for Nazi Zombies though, and that’s the only reason I’ll really be buying this map pack for the rip off of a price that it is.

It’s the first one I have actually traded in. £33 was too much to resist (especially when I’d paid £28 new). Played it for a month and didn’t touch it again. Whilst some of the multiplayer tweaks were much needed improvements on MW2, generally it just wasn’t a patch on IW’s effort. Nor as enjoyable.

Logically, there will be three strikes. Firstly, this is how many chances you have in Baseball, so the term is ingrained in the US frame of mind, secondly the times involved would have the third pack release at the start of July, by which time the hype machine for the next CoD will be in full swing.
At any rate, I doubt there’d be more than 3 packs in the year.

I will likely buy due to zombies. There’s something about it that appeals to me more then the other zombie mini games in some games. And of course all of my friends will get it so like the sheep I am I will shell out the dough to play with them.

Ive never bought a treyarch map pack, didnt like W@W and not that fussed on Blops. Bouth all the infinity ward ones though…..fanboy? ;). Ive not completely written off blops yet, its got time to sway me

They look good but they stuck gimmicks in them to get people to buy because they know most will keep their hand in their pocket this time round. I for one, will be one of those. Sorry Activision, no more from me.
