Platinum Games Working On ‘Max Anarchy’

Platinum Games, developer of Bayonetta and Vanquish, is currently working on a new PS3 and Xbox 360 game to be published by SEGA, titled ‘Max Anarchy’. Famitsu has had access to the game, and is calling it an online action combat game with support for large numbers of players.

Screens from Famitsu show players wielding chainsaws and torches as they fight, with Jack – the protagonist from the Wii game ‘Madworld’ – as a playable character.

Expect to hear more on this soon, but if it’s anything like Madworld we are in for a treat. For those who are unaware, Madworld is an ultra-violent, ultra-stylish free roaming beat’em up which is well known for expecting (or even demanding) players perform such actions on their enemies like kicking them into huge rotor blades, or dumping them head first into a fire pit. Jack also has chainsaws where his hands should be – kind of like a budget Wolverine!

Oh, and imagine if Bayonetta was a playable character!

  1. Sounds brill, will be following this one quite closely!

    • It sounds like it has so much potential. Will be waiting eagerly for more info!

  2. Liking the sound of this!

  3. Do I dare dream of a PS3 version with Move-supported Mad World included on the Blu Ray?

    • Now that would be a pre-order bonus I’d happily take the plunge for!

    • An HD version of MadWorld would be stunning.

  4. Damn I should be playing Madworld but I haven’t even bought it yet!!

  5. Sounds interesting enough but it also sounds like a perfect example of something which should have the age restrictions upheld (obviously all games should but this sounds particularly brutal).
