LA Noire Boxart Revealed

Rockstar Games have this evening released the lovely artwork you’ll be seeing adorning boxes of LA Noire on its release in a couple of months – assuming no more delays, of course.

The game sees you in the shoes of Detective Cole Phelps as he investigates the seedy underworld of 1947 Los Angeles, moving through vice, traffic, and homicide, as illustrated by the decidedly dead-looking chap in the top-right corner of the box.

LA Noire releases May 20th on PS3 and 360 in Europe, and the 17th in the US.

  1. Agree with the ‘straight to dvd’ comment. Not the most imaginative coverart I’ve seen.

How do you pronounce ‘noire’? is it noy-er or nwah? or something completely different? :/

  2. My eyes hurt… That’s just awful.

  3. I thought LA noire was a ps3 exclusive?!

    • No, it lost that – somewhere around the time Agent was mentioned

  4. ahhhhhhh its the cyan/orange alignment conspiracy. seriously check your dvd collections. ITS EVERYWHERE!

    • infact i just checked out TSA’s ad for star front.

      MY GOD ITS EEEEVERYYYYY WHERRRREEEE!

    • Pretty sure it’s red and blue – like a police siren.

  5. May? Cool I wrongly assumed it would be the retail golden quarter.

  6. Hopefully this turns out to be fantastic, I really want something fresh to play

    • Me too

I only just bought RDR last week, I’m bored shitless after only an hour, its just exactly the same as every other R* they’ve done for the past gawd knows how long

      • Take it back!

      • Can’t the cut scenes are the most mind-numbing boring fake dialogue I’ve ever heard, they’re so l-o-n-g too which has put me off the story, now I’ve regressed into my normal GTA mode (which I default to a couple of hours into those as well) which is just bumming around, shoot someone have a mass shootout & either getaway or die.

Can’t help think I’d have been better spending £25 on anything else.

  7. Am I the only one who actually loves that boxart?

    • Nope, I really like it. The more I see it, the more I enjoy it.

  8. Not a bad job. Fits the theme they are going for. Like the box art for the US better tho.

  9. I like the boxart. I do agree with the straight to dvd comment though. Really hope this will be great.

  10. Looks great, won’t be a day one but will get this :-D
