Ok, rather than risk a verbal beating I’m going to flag a big *spoiler alert* on this post, as if it is correct it shows the entire Mortal Kombat roster, which includes a couple of hidden characters. You have been warned.
In order, the characters are Scorpion; Liu Kang; Kung Lao; Sub-Zero; Sindel; Ermac; Reptile; Kitana; Johnny Cage; Jade; Mileena; Nightwolf; Cyrax; Noob Saibot; Smoke; Sektor; Sonya; Jax; Kano; Stryker; Shang Tsung; Baraka; Kabal; Raiden. Sheeva and Quan Chi are shown at the very bottom, next to two generic face options (which we assume is where you’ll be able to select Kratos). Also shown selected is Cyber Sub-Zero.
The game’s developer has also outed some upcoming DLC, which will see Kenshi and Scarlet join the fray. For those unfamiliar with Scarlet, producer Hans Lo has provided some background information:
“Anyone who knows the history of Mortal Kombat will tell you that back in the days of the arcade – when they did just palette swap characters to come up with multiple fighters in the game – there was a glitch in one of the old arcade machines that caused the Jade/Katana/Milena female ninja to glitch and turn red.
People always thought it was a hidden unlockable character and it wasn’t, it was purely a programming glitch. They’ve always speculated and in fact it was the fans who named her Scarlet to begin with. She’s no longer a glitch – she’s an actual character, and she’ll be coming pretty soon post-launch.”

That Cyber SUB-ZERO reminds me of Predator. Looking forward to this a lot. Also, I really like the back history on “Scarlet” and like when developers do things like that, it’s almost an easter egg.

I remember when this game was first announced and the developers said this time some characters may be different to how they were originally, but right now it seems as though Sub-Zero being cyberman-ized is the only one!

Really enjoyed the demo but the fatalities seemed a bit flat, for want of a better description. I don’t know if it’s just cos they’ve been seen so many times before. Whatever happened to animalities and babalities(?) ?

they were dropped like a bad habbit due to not being all that popular, they have however stated that kratos will not have a friendship as its just not like him to offer such things, so they could be back
