Project Cafe Video Leak Is “Pure Speculation”

In what is apparently a ‘private presentation’ of what many are calling Project Cafe, the video below appears to show Nintendo’s next console, set to be revealed at E3 this year.

The video shows the controller with the touch screen embedded, a Wii-esque main console unit and a pointing lady.  In silence.

It looks real enough at first glance, although Nintendo have said the video is “purely rumour and speculation”.

  1. can’t see anything from the video

  2. The images look genuine enough but the device with the led might just be a media playing Hard drive being used for the presentation. Then again, the image of the controller also contains video footage so that might not be possible on a media player.. hmmm, i’m leaning towards it being real.

  3. Whatever was that video about that came about last year? With all the japanese people running about then they went into that room and there was like a Ps logo on a screen and people thought it was the PS4 or something? wait… was that Move? I’m not sure

  4. I still don’t believe that the screen will be embedded into the controller in such a way.

The diagram looks like the top of a wii (GC ports panel where the lights are), and the side of a wii with some lines on it. I don’t believe that they would release a console so similar looking, not to mention that what looks like the disc slot is awfully low.

Also, why no sound and why did it suddenly cut out? Looks like it was shot in a uni lecture hall.

Given how far off the release it is, I wouldn’t even think that any designs are final either.

Oh, would also expect a Nintendo mark on all of the slides. (Is that guy meant to look like Reggie?)

  5. Its real.
