Before you all explode in fit of fan-boy excitement, Hideo Kojima is NOT remaking Final Fantasy VII.
The story is that Hideo, Square Enix producer/artist Tetsuya Nomura, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada and Metal Gear art director Yoji Shinkawa sat down to have dinner the other night.
Kojima tweeted who he was having dinner with and followers of his Twitter feed asked him to ask Nomura to remake Final Fantasy VII.
Kojima replied to the Tweet, saying ‘I passed it along’.
Was the topic discussed any further? Let’s hope so.

Dude, if you don’t like the reporting, go get your precious industry news elsewhere and don’t be so damn rude.

Much as I would like it to be true, I can’t help but feel that Square would make a right pig’s ear of it the rate they’ve been going downhill lately.
Anyway, FF VIII was better :p

Which, in turn, wasn’t quite as good as IX. :P

I’m not sure i want a remake anymore, yes it’d have better graphics but there would no doubt be a number of other things they’d change which would just infuriate me. (such as the voice acting they’d probably stick in.) At the end of the day, if i want to remember the magic i can just go play it on psp or PS1 anyway :)

I’m not worried about a remake of FFVII. It will happen. It’s just a matter of time. Now give us Versus XIII and XIII-2!
Foxhound_Solid
They should. Hideo is legend.
