Sonic Generations Looking Lovely

A video has hit Youtube of Sonic Generations’ first level, a faithful (but gorgeous) remake of the first game’s Green Hill Zone.

It’s from Gametrailers, and features SEGA’s Patrick Riley doing a fine job of talking us through the level.

The loading time is a bit lengthy, but once it’s done you have to admit: this is looking fantastic – everything’s present and correct and even the physics look spot on.

This could be a proper return to form.

  1. I hope they don’t stuff this.game up. I would havereally enjoyed sonic 4 if it wasn’t for the fact that he dropped like a lead weight while jumping if you let go of the direction stick

  2. Sonic how it should be and remain

  3. Sweet, although did I completely miss the second style of gameplay, anyone care to enlighten me? This just looks like an upgraded Sonic 4 (not a bad thing)

  4. Wow that’s looking good. I’m kinda hoping they bring it to the NGP as well.

I do think Sonic 4 Episode 2 has been delayed because of this. Maybe if the fans react well to the engine they will change the Sonic 4’s?

  5. that looks great will be getting this.

  6. Like it lots.

  7. OMG this looks full of awesome. I’m already sold on this day 1 from this vid.

Personally I enjoyed Sonic 4 but this is just simply better from what I’ve seen.

Hopefully the game has a good selection of old skool Sonic zones

Some of the zones I want to see are Marble Zone, Starlight, Chemical Plant, Casino Night, Mushroom Hill Zone, oh and the Sonic 2 bonus stages.
