Apple Give E3 The Finger, Announce Simultaneous Conference

Not for the first time, Apple have announced a press conference set to run alongside a major gaming event – in this case, it’s clashing directly with Microsoft’s E3 presser.

Apple are set to announce details on iOS and iCloud.  Say what you like about the iPhone, but the way Apple have took the market by storm is unquestionable, and it’s clear they mean business.

Mac OS X Lion is also on the cards, as is (most expect) a refresh to the iPhone 4, presumably using the new A5 processor seen in the iPad 2.

Interesting times.

  1. So is this to stel focus form MS in particular, or just E3 in general?

  2. iOS 5…sounds tasty. Hope you’re ready for action, clever Jailbreak people!

  3. Not hyped about whatever Apples has for show. It will be an underwhelming incremental update to whatever it is they already have. iOS5 will feature a new notification system to save Apple from becoming obsolete in the mobile market and thats probably it. Widgets would be neat but I wouldn’t count on it.
Can I get a hell meh?

    • i would love to assume you weren’t biased, but your avatar is a little telling

      • Haha, the only reason why I have this avatar is because I can’t figure out how to change the damn thing…
What I pointed out in my previous comment has nothing to do with bias. Apple releases new hardware every year that is only slightly better than the old device and it seems like they are intentionally holding back new features to have something for their next release. Must I remind you of copy & paste or multi tasking?
Oh, and if anyone can point me in the direction of a guide on how to change that avatar, please feel free to do so…

  4. I normally watch all 3 major press conferences at E3, but the Apple conference will take priority against Microsoft. I’m stoked to hear about the new iOS. They better come out with a hugely improved notification system.

  5. there is no hardware announcement. This is all OS and iCloud

  6. iOS 5, Iphone 5/4G/4gs complete with iPad 2 internals and a lot of ‘you need to buy this else you will never reach elysium’ type mentality and faux-enthusiasm. The latter being……..just like E3 ;)

  7. i think i’ll be watching the ms conference given the choice.

  8. Apple camp ftw

  9. Well I been following E3 for the last three years and I am definatly following it this year as well.
    The Apple news can wait
