NGP’s “Gravity Daze” Is Now Vita’s “Gravity”

It turned up briefly in the original NGP announcement video, before going into hiding again, but now it’s back, and we finally have some details on Gravity.

There’s not a whole lot of info, but we know it’s in development at Team Siren, over at Sony Japan, and sees you playing as a “girl in a world that is literally coming apart at the seams.” Apparently that means gravity itself is the first thing out the window.

  1. Darn, those are good graphics for a handheld.

    • Even cel-shaded, it looks as good as Borderlands, rather than like PSP’s Metal Gear Ac!d 2.

  2. I was wondering what that was.

Wow those graphics look fantastic. The cel-shaded style is just beautiful.

    Stunning.

  3. Reminds me slightly of Fear Effect, I’m so excited for Vita!

  4. Looks intersting… I want it!!!!

  5. Love the visuals! If I end up getting the Vita then I will surely take a long look at this, lets hope the gameplay holds up.

  6. Oh wow.
    Wow, wow, wow.
And it looks even better in motion.
Really can’t wait for the Vita.

  7. This game looks great, but why on Earth did they call it “Gravity” instead of “Gravity Daze”?! I hope this is a good sized game and hopefully a launch title too.

    • In the montage trailer, it’s Project: Gravity (working title).
So it might still end up as Gravity Daze, which was a far better name, in my opinion.
I think Ruin was also another game which had working title applied to it, but I actually like that name.

  8. That’s good, hope they stick with Gravity Daze, but even “Project: Gravity” would be a good name!

Incidently there’s some nice gameplay footage here:

Why they had to split it into two parts I have absolutely no idea…

  9. Wasn’t really convinced when i looked at the screenshots but after the link by billsmugs (thanks by the way) i was blown away by how beautiful looking it was in motion.

Wow! this could be a steller title for the Vita. Also anybody else reminded of Sabrina the teenage when the girl meets the black cat in the first youtube clip or was just me! Ha!
