EA Games boss, Frank Gibeau, has said they are actively looking at how to bring back Mirror’s Edge. The original game, created by DICE, was critically acclaimed and sold 2 million units but this was below EA’s expectations.
“We love that franchise. The DICE guys really created something I think special the first time around. You’ve got to have a big idea to be able to do the next one and that’s what we’re working on.”
Frank was also asked if there was a possibility of a Mirror’s Edge 2/Frostbite 2 engine partnership, to which he replied “you’ll see that combination, I’m sure”.

Played the demo of the first and didn’t really get into it. I think it just confused me and I found the controls frustrating, would be interested in a second, but would need a demo, sadly there seem to be less and less demos about these days..

As frustrating as this game was I absolutely loved it. Completely different to anything else and such a great idea behind it.
Lets hope they’re able to think of something that would make ME2 great and not sure a boring same old sequel.

Got it on the same day of Dragonball: Raging Blast, I still have Mirrors Edge…………. BUT, I haven’t even played it a lot. I’m just never interested in the damn thing

i’d like to see a third person mode, partly because the platforming didn’t work that well in first person, better than i’ve seen it done before but still not as good as it would be with a third person view, and secondly, so i can play it without feeling sick.

Loved Mirror’s Edge, had a lot of flaws and was not every ones cup of tea for reasons i can agree with. Mirror’s edge 2 would be a game i would definately get, however, the game needs to be much longer ( i completed the first of hard in a couple of hours), the free running needs to be more fluid, and the combat could have some more tweaks

2 Million sales? Dang way more than I thought given it’s low key affair.
Seriously why did EA expect more on a NEW IP?
anyway do another please dICE.

I think this is fantastic news! I adore the first game and despite having its platinum, gladly turn it on and play through it every now and again.
Gotten so good with the main story, I’ve turned it into my hangover cure. Play through it in about 3 hours and suddenly I’m all better!
I also feel the gameplay is something that improves with every play. A sequel would definitely do well now that more people are used to the controls and mechanics of it all.

They should run with it…. Ill get my coat.
