SCEE Dismisses PS Vita UK Release Date

Retailer ShopTo has put up a landing page for PS Vita, citing a November 4th release date for the hardware and £40 price points for the games.

However, Sony haven’t announced any dates or prices yet, claiming that ShopTo’s details are “just speculation” and presumably an attempt to get people to drop down a pre-order.

Games listed on the site include WipEout 2048, Super Stardust Delta, Resistance, Monster Hunter Portable, Killzone, Modnation Racers, BioShock and LittleBigPlanet.

  1. £39.99 RRP means that’s what they’ll be on the Network too then…*sigh*

    Anyway, Sony said in those E3 Blog videos that LBP wouldn’t be out until 2012, and it seemed pretty certain given what Levine was saying that the BioShock Vita title was further off too, can’t see them being launch games, even if it does come out in November.

  2. Well at least the PSP games are cheaper than anything on the DS. £40 though? I thinks it suicide, why not keep it at £25 – £30?

    Hope its released this year can’t wait! Monster Hunter 3! YA!

    • But if you think about it 3DS also have £40 as RRP but they still cost 30£.

    • I know… all I think of is the price of Mario DS pre-owned?….why is £27.99? Meh I’m sure it’ll be cheaper online but its not welcoming to see that in the stores.

  4. Hmm… 4th November, why does that ring a bell? That would be the UK release date for Uncharted 3. Can’t see Sony releasing the PS Vita the same day (unless their plan is “buy Uncharted 3 at midnight, oh while you’re here why not buy a PS Vita”.

    Sony seem to have nothing out post 4th November and there’s only Assassin’s Creed on the 18th November on multiformat front. Any day after the 4th Novemmber seems like a good bet.

    Of course of Golden Abyss and Ucnharted 3 released on the same day there would be a mega advertising campaign. It would probably bankrupt me too.

  5. Why does everything have to be in November?!?!?! FFS
    Not only is it the month before Christmas but there’s MW3, BF3, UC3 and other games and NGP, damn!
