GoldenEye on the N64 is widely regarded as the best movie tie-in video game ever made. It’s still fondly remembered by misty eyed gamers who remember fitting sticky-tape and cardboard dividers to their televisions so that sneaky split-screen adversaries couldn’t see them creeping up during multiplayer marathons.
The recent reboot of the title on the Nintendo Wii seems to have awoken the desire to act on those fond memories. Activision are registering domains related to GoldenEye, 007, Reloaded and Game. So, with a minor leap of assumption, we’re guessing that there might be some sort of sequel on the way or perhaps another remake for a different console?
Either way, don’t get your hopes up yet, this could just be a buy up of related domains to keep their IP secure but the prospect of a reboot or sequel in HD is quite appealing…

Was just playing this last night, then watched the leaked 360 YouTube video and sighed. This game is ACHING for a control and graphics overhaul.

I’m guessing GoldenEye Reloaded – a port of the Wii game to PS3 and 360. But what do I know – I enjoyed Rogue Agent :P

You weren’t the only one. The only 007 game I can think of I didn’t fully enjoy was QoS for the 7th gen consoles (PS3/X360).

I adored NightFire and Agent Under Fire. Thought Quantum of Solace was stronger than Everything or Nothing, if a little generic.
Blood Stone was awful though.
Origami Killer
would love this to be true, ported to PS3 and 360. Loved the game on N64

Sick if true!

Didn’t it already get an HD re-jig, but as a 360-exclusive? Or am I thinking of Perfect Dark?

i’ve been hoping activision would port the wii remake to the ps3 and 360, so it would be cool if that’s what this is about.
