The UK regional competition is now live for entries and, along with the chance to represent the UK in the grand final of the European search, two UK regional finalists will win £1500 worth of entertainment merchandise.

  1. Guess thats me out of the running then ;(

  2. Cross-dressing anyone?..

    • I’m up for that… Seriously, a long time ago, on a Club 18-30, I came last in a Miss Ibiza contest. I took it as a compliment.

  3. Translation: EA want to slappers to drape over a car. WHat a bunch of sexist pigs.

    • Disgraceful. Next we’ll be seeing female models on the front of music CDs like Clubland Smashed. Shameful stuff. :-P

      • We’re getting a bloke on Smashed 3, me and Harry (my ex who mixes the harder mix) are going to demand it.

      • “my ex” mixes” “harder” “demand it” Oh, my poor head.

      • I’ve just spotted Tuffcub’s t-shirt over on the ‘musicismylife’ blog. Makes me smile.

      • Bunimomike – Executed perfectly =D

      • In not so much its the mindless bimbos draped over cars, why is it only to women?

Surveys show a huge portion of gamers are female these days so why just cater for the men?

EA: Be the first publisher to give equal exploitation rights for both dumb blonde chicks and thick-as-fuck jocks.

      • Ah, this is something I can actually answer properly. There’s been studies to prove that you have a better chance of advertising to both genders with females than you have males.

Men lose interest when guys are in the advert whereas women don’t lose nearly as much interest if there are female models used.

The psychology backs it up (and I won’t get into it here) but it made for fascinating reading when I was studying it.

  4. I might enter the winners… o.O

    • In the right (wrong) frame of mind, that sounds so dirty. :D

    • In your dreams.

  5. This is nothing more than sexist stereotyping, using the female form to sell products. Fantastic! More!

    • That’s the world we live in… shame:}

    • That’s the attitude! Ogle overtly while disapproving dramatically. ;)

  6. Well sex sells what can we do.

    • Stand on street corners wearing tight jeans and shouting “Hello Sailor”? No? Only me then..

  7. Oooh! Sign up Jordan and Jodie Marsh…that’d be cheap car crash stuff :P

    • Yeah, I agree. The best that the UK has to offer. Real talent ;-)

  8. Good to see you doing news, AG and not just keeping us rabble under control. :D I wonder if EA will see what the ‘Cub has to say and sign men up too? I’m available … lol

    • Ah it wont be regular! This one just landed in my inbox as it is community related. And yes, they will see!

  9. i wonder just how much speaking this “spokesmodel” will actually end up doing.

or will it just be a case of “stand there looking pretty, shut up and hold a copy of the game”.

whatever the case, i’m sure looks will be the deciding factor in who they choose.

    • Models to sit on spokes (as in wheels!).

      Simples. :)

  10. I’m the only female gamer in Norway. I win by default.
