New Director Found For Uncharted Film?

Ever since David O. Russell dropped out of the Uncharted film, the hunt has been on for a replacement. Variety is reporting that a new director has indeed been found, and it’s Neil Burger.

You may remember Burger as Director for Limitless, and The Illusionist. It’s unclear as to whether Mark Wahlberg is still involved with the project.

  1. Cool, i expect it will take some time to complete.

  2. I see a lot of people on the internet wanting nathan Fillion. Im not a fan of his so I really hope he doesnt get a call.

    • I don’t get all the Nathan Fillion love, I mean he’s a great actor but there are other good actors out there who look more like Drake, David Boreanaz and Brian Austin Green are just two people that come to mind. But I suppose anyone is an improvement on Mark Whalberg

      • AH!! At last!! Someone who agrees with me! God bless you child ;)

  3. When i saw the headline, i was hoping it was not He who shall not be named under the penatly of E.T the game had been chosen. luckily,he has not been chosen. So will Burger get rid of the family freindly plot as UC1&2 are not family friendly games. I wonder if the train level will be included in this film? As that would be an excellent action sequence. And please no Mafia.

I wonder what Drake will be looking for in the film. Hopefully it stays true to the games and we finally get an excellent VG movie instead of the crappy ones that makes gamers cry.

    • You’re a joker! Boll would do a great job with this film. Stick some vampires in, zero character development, piss poor cuts and editing… and we’d be laughing.

  4. Sommers who directed The Mummy films would be a good choice.

The quality of his work varies, I will grant that but he can capture the Saturday Matinee adventure tone of the games with ease and all his films regardless of the standard skip along with verve and fun.
