Sony have just let TheSixthAxis know that Double Eleven, the studio behind upcoming PS Vita game LittleBigPlanet, have signed an exclusivity deal with the publisher.
“Double Eleven are one of the brightest new UK development studios,” says the press release, “having been formed by former Rockstar Leeds lead-engineers in 2010. Double Eleven were recently revealed as the architects behind the technology driving LittleBigPlanet on PS VITA at the recent E3 in Los Angeles.”
Double Eleven will continue to work on LBP, but will then start to develop new games for all Sony platforms.
Lee Hutchinson, CEO at Double Eleven said that the signing was “a testament to the hard work of all the exceptional team” and “the opportunity to work so closely with Sony is simply fantastic.”

A nice run of good news today. First the uncharted movie, now this.

Cool, from what we’ve seen LBP vita looks to be a fine example of what they’re capable of producing.

Another smart move by Sony. This is why they are winning the exclusive war against M$. Thumbs up.

Saw this coming (its LBP, Sony has to own it) but still, happy that Sony obtained this company so fast.
Now if sony starts doing this to some other studios, we may see a huge shift.
