Robot Entertainment has announced that Orcs Must Die! will be heading to Xbox LIVE and PCs later this summer.
Orcs Must Die! is an action-strategy game where players need to defend fortresses under siege – it’s a hybrid of the action and tower defense genres.
From a third person perspective, players are tasked with defending their stronghold using a variety of melee combos and inventive traps from a horde of green-skinned invaders. It definitely looks to be one of the more humorous and vibrant arcade titles in Microsoft’s pipeline, and one that’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
There are a wide variety of traps and weapons to choose from, and you must find the best ways to “hack, launch, flatten, gibletize, and incinerate an endless army of filthy Orcs and their vile allies.”

When devs muck around with the tower defence formula I don’t often find myself happy with what they’ve done but this looks great fun! Count me in so far.

I can imagine this multiplayer x4 and coming up with some form of drinking game too!! Awesome times, deff gettin this, big fan of TD ever since warcraft 3 when people made there own custom maps.
