The Gunstringer’s Release Date Confirmed

Twisted Pixel, the developers of ‘Splosion Man and the sequel, Ms ‘Splosion Man, are releasing The Gunstringer as a retail title for Kinect on September 16th.

The game has an RRP of £29.99 and will come with a download code for the Kinect version of the excellent mobile title Fruit Ninja, in which you smash fruit without missing any. The Gunstringer itself is described as a game set as a theatre play in the Old West, where you use your left hand to control the character, whilst you use your left to fire his gun, with some parts being more like a rail shooter.

You’ll also get a free DLC add-on at launch, named “The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles”. Still not convinced? Have a look at the debut trailer below, it does look quite fun…

  1. Weird trailer. It spends half the time lambasting other control systems then shows us a game with such simple gameplay I’m wondering if there’s anything of substance there at all!

However, the close-up artwork and design of the skeleton-cowboy was awesome. Loved his outfit and look.

  2. Bit of douchebaggery going on there, I find it interesting that they didn’t show someone using two Moves, considering you could do everything that was shown there with two Moves…

Either way, tactless marketing aside, it looks like a really cool game. I’ve been following it since it was announced and it will be interesting to see how it translates from originally being a downloadable game to having a full retail release.

  3. i apologise in advance, i’m weak.

    anyway.
great concept for a character, i just don’t know how much fun the game would be to play with kinect.

  4. Looks lovely, although shallow.. shame about the advertising standard.

  5. No. Just no.

  6. I would have maybe bought this if it was a £7.99 game but a full retail game?no
