Codemasters has announced that F1 Online: The Game, a free-to-play browser game, is in production at Codemasters Studios and set to launch in Q1 2012.
The game will “give players the chance to be the driver and the team boss in a game that combines intuitive top-down racing gameplay with a rewarding management game as players create and manage their own team.”

If you like top down racing games check it out NSGP (www.newstargames.com). Its really worth it. Specially if you race on the official online championship. Check the forum for more info about it. Theres a very dedicated community there! ;)
Its all about fun and its only a 2D Racing game.
This one from Codemaster looks nice but…lets see what it brings. Most of the times i got very disapointed with the direction some games from them have taken, F1 2010 for example….. :(
A big enterprise like this should make something much better. Specially if you compare it with small independent ones…
Even though, im interested to see what comes from this.
In the mean while i will stick to the online champs of NSGP! :D

Could be good. I used to think EA’s F1 manager was a lot of fun so if this is anything like that then it’s definitely worth taking a look at for me.

Saw this earlier, sounds really good, I like the sound of the management aspect. I’m just curious how they will turn a profit from it, generally, with most F2P’s, you can buy extras like weapons etc, but can’t really see how it would work here.
