3DS Price Cut Works Wonders In Japan

In some rather shocking news it turns out people like to buy cheap(ish) things, as the 3DS price cut has seen sales in Japan reach about 215,000 units for the week of August 8 through August 14.

This is the second highest figure since launch, and brings the total number of 3DS consoles sold in Japan to over 1.5 million.

Now, give us some games.

  1. Low prices and less gimmick-based marketing, coupled with the imminent arrival of a game with Mario in it leads to sales. Who knew?!
Awesome to see it working though, that can only mean good things for the consumer :)

    • Two games with Mario in. =)

      • They should have been there at launch though.

  2. Yeah need more games please!
I might be tempted but I’d rather wait on Vita which I will be playing/spending the most.

  3. I got one just so i can play pokémon again :D

  4. Well the new Pokemon probably helped a bit to. But it’s next week that is more interesting.
