According to a site we found called 4Gamer.net, you can play any PS3 game via remote play on Vita. We think. Our Japanese is non existant and initially we were sceptical, in spite of the sterling work Google Translate did for us.

  1. At this point it’s been confirmed by most major news sources, so I think we can dispense with the ‘if true’ statements. As some have mentioned, this was already doable with a few titles on the PSP, so it’s only natural that Sony would improve upon their original concept.

    Definitely a must-have item though, there’s really nothing about the PSV that isn’t attractive as a gamer. I’ll likely even ditch my phone, and simply use Skype/Google phone. It seems like it’s truly an all-in-one gizmo.

  2. Could someone briefly run me through remote play, the ps3 is on am I right?

    • yes ps3 and psp are on but ps3 is fully controllable by psp. so when finished gaming simply turn of ps3 remotly then psp manually then turn off beside lamp and drift off to sleep.

  6. Am I the only one that doesn’t really care about this?

    If I’m at home I will play my PS3 using my big TV as the screen. If I’m away from home (the only time I really use my PSP at the moment) then this won’t be an option anyway because it relies on the short range of WIFI presumably.

    If the problem is sharing the TV then why not just buy a dedicated TV for your PS3 (probably cost the same as a vita) rather than messing around playing on a tiny screen?

    I agree it’s a nice feature, just not one I’d actually use.

      • You take your PS3 to work/school with you? Or do you have a PS3 at work/school? Otherwise I don’t understand how you can play it on lunch hours… am I missing something?

        You need to have your PS3 and Vita in close proximity for this to work unless they have come up with something magical.
