AC Revelations PS3 to Include Original Assassin’s Creed

In what has been described as a “special partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment”, Copies of Assassin’s Creed Revelations will come with the original game thrown in.

There is a catch though, as this offer only extends to day one copies of the game. It is also unclear if this offer will come to the EU, or just the US. Launched back in 2007, the original game didn’t get the best review scores, but did pave the way for what has become a fantastic franchise.

  1. Hey, that’s nice. Was planning on getting a platinum or PSN download of that one, so good job. I will defo be pre-ordering now.
If the offer is valid in Norway, that is.

    • Oh yeah, is it a physical copy, or a download voucher?

  2. what if i dont want the original game? as I have every AC release lined up on my shelf? ps3… ds.. psp.. graphic novels (including the french unofficial) and the novles.

  3. Anything planned for the box of X? The mrs wanted to try AC but i told her to start on AC2 as i thought it was more accessible for her. I suppose she could always take over my ps3 and play my copy lol

  4. Good deal, even though I already have the original. Would replay it if this new version had trophies, though I find that very unlikely.

    • wasnt it reported a while ago that the new version wouldnt get trophies? much like the MGS4 rerelease?

      • I think it was which is a big disappointment, would give both these games a new lease of life – and sell a few copies as well I’d wager

    • this is exactly it, its a great deal for new fans, but for those of us who have been assassins creed fans from day 1, it doesn’t really do anything. I say they should patch just this preorder bonus copy of assassins creed with trophies so the die hards can feel like they’re getting something too.

      • aye, i mean, old HD classics can easily get trophies put into them? im sure its not too hard to do it for a game thats not even that old, whilst I appreciate the gesture, this just seems a tad lazy by Ubisoft.

  5. This is cool, I started with AC 2 as with the low review scores and lack of trophies I never could be bothered getting the first.

    • Same.

I doubt this version will have trophies either but i’d still like to give it a bash. Not sure about day 1 only, though, will be a bit busy playing Uncharted.

    • i care so little about trophy’s, but the timing of AC2 fitted with me not having games to play, and then i found out AC1 was not very good (according to people comparing the two), so didn’t bother getting it either. Might do now though… if UK gets the deal

  6. ShopTo have announced there will be ‘tokens’ given away to download it, however it hasn’t yet been confirmed for the UK or EU, only USA

  7. This is okay, many will have it already, but the first game was really very good. I think I preferred it to the second, there were parts that were definitely better. I kinda lost hope in the series when it stayed in renaissance Italy after AC2, wanted somewhere new, also, the final boss was just poor. Wont spoil it for anyone that hasn’t played it, but it was truly awful.

    • the whole point is that Ezio and Altair were amongst the most prestigious assassins in the series, so Ubisoft wanted to create a ‘trilogy within a trilogy’, Ezio’s trilogy inside the main trilogy of games. As his story was so important and titular to the storyline, thats why it remained. I can understand your sense of hopelessness though, as i was unhappy aswell that it didn’t move after Brotherhood. However Revelations has been confirmed to be the last Ezio-centric game.

  8. I have fond memories of the original, it was a great ‘launch’ game.

  9. Nice touch but added trophy support would be better

  10. animus edition heremwe go,.

I didn’t like AC but since AC2 and I’m a solid fanboy through and through out .
