PSN Is Offline – “Unscheduled Maintenance”

Can’t sign into the PSN?  Looks like it’s down for most, currently labeled as ‘unscheduled maintenance’.

The PlayStationEU account has just tweeted the following:

We’re aware that PSN is currently unavailable and working with the technicians to find out when it will be restored. Apologies.

Community mod RabidWalker backs this up:

Currently there is an unscheduled maintenance on the PSN, which is affecting the PSN and forum Sign In, I will update when I have more info.

No further information has been given, as soon as we hear anything further we will let you know.

  1. has anyone else lost all their friends on there list?

    • Aye, dunno if its just a problem that’s part of the maintenance or they’re gone forever. I assume the maintenance since I tried to add a friend and got an error.

      • Just logged off to see if i logged in again that my list would pop up.

        Can’t log back in now, probalay a positive sign as to why my friends list ain’t there :0)

    • So you’ve lost the lot? Sorry for repeating you, but that’s quite a shock.
      I hope I haven’t, no way i’ll remember all the names of non-tsaers. Will be a shame to loose them, especially ones i’ve had since 07.

        I know same as, hopefully its just a glitch although i can remember all the important people for co op and cod,killzone etc.

      • It will be bad but I’m sure Sony will sort it out, hope the messages are still there then at least you could readd that way :/

  3. I managed to sign in for a minute, hit the store and it said “another user has signed in with your id, you will now be signed out”. Bloody thing.

    • Sorry, that was me trying all the passwords and usernames I got when I hacked it.
      Nice credit card details. :P

    Bad News
    Strange, all friends have de-freind me. No one loves me now, bo ho.

    Good News
    Managed to sync my Trophies. So very happy, all is fine.

    Just image if lost all Trophies it would be end of the world. Lose all friends dosn’t matter really.

      Now for Trophies, if there gone, I am going to cry.

    • You do realise that trophy’s are on your PS3 HDD as well?

  7. I’ve seen a few people voice their unhappiness at the playstation web browser,i must be a freak because I dont have a problem with it. I prefer using it instead of my pc,it seems to be much faster than my pc which chugs along like a geriatric steam engine.

    • PS3 browser, there is nothing wrong with it. But I can also say nothing right with aswell, and that really is issue at hand.

    • Those people have issues man, you seem to be chilled out with this which is the best thing to do in this situation.

      • The only issue i have is the browser is about 10yrs old & doesnt have a current flash player.
        It’s like walking with dinosaurs, a ps3 exclusive.

      • Besides, all i said (page1) is that for for a week now, on visiting tsa, i get javaScript err lol.
        Unless your a divine being, you’ll have issues like every human on the planet, take your cheeky judgmental attitude for example.

  10. People are getting really angry on here I think some of you need an early night.

    As for having two consoles of playing on more than one type of format giving you the “right” or insight to decide which is the better console/online experience/sex toy, it doesn’t.

    I had a 360 in fact I’ve had several and they bore me, my friends, some have 360s some of PS3s some have a little bat and ball the ones on 360 bore me to death with their expressions of love and excitement for GoW3, I played 1 & 2 with them on co-op and it felt clunky and slow, my opinion which I’m entitled to.

    I will in turn bore them with stories of Uncharted 3 or Infamous 2 or Assassins creed which being a multi format game they might identify with.

    The moral of the story is it doesn’t matter who says what about the consoles, some of us enjoy both some only enjoy one and that is our right as human beings to be different from each other, if we weren’t we’d be sheep, have no opposable thumbs and this would a ridiculous argument.

      don’t worry you’ll have your chance next time the psn goes down, although I think alot of people are bored of the same style of discussion every time the psn goes down for a few hours

      • I know I was tired and read the first page, then figured what the hell everyone seems to think their opinion counts more than anyones so I’ll stick mine in for the laugh, to be fair I played Eyepet all night to get more trophies, then switched to Assassins creed 2 which I have started replaying, should be on brotherhood by the weekend so will be well up to date by the time revelations comes out which has the best trailer for any video game ever!

        speaking of which I really should check the release schedule for the next few weeks! make sure I have got all the new releases in my diary!
