As you are no doubt aware, a good chunk of the TSA team is currently holed up in That London for EGX. For those of you that couldn’t make it to the show yesterday, we (being lovely) decided to film the opening presentation – Michael Denny, Sony’s SVP of Worldwide Studios, on Vita – so that you didn’t miss out. Aren’t we nice?
We’ve broken the presentation down into the three main segments (Wipeout, LittleBigPlanet, and augmented reality), and you can find them all below! First up check out WipeOut 2048.
Next we have a look at how LittleBigPlanet is looking on the Vita.
Finally, here’s a look at augmented reality on the Vita, largely through Reality Fighters. There’s also a look into the far-flung future of augmented reality on the Vita.
Origami Killer
Looks great, Shame I won’t be getting the Vita when it’s released :(
Smallville2106
Wipeout looks greeaatt!!!!
Not keen on the Reality Fighters though.

That AR looks must be devil magic, don’t know how useful it’d be though..? Reality fighters still looks fun in my opinion anyways.
TSBonyman
It all looks quite promising, great footage too guys.
MXZ
Its kind of disappointing that the only new content is the AR cards in the 3rd video.
but at least these are informative videos, so thats a plus. however i do want to see a bit more content before the release of Vita
(also, MONKEY!)

So looking at the camera people behind the demo users I guess a video out option is not a feature? Most new phones have hdmi-out..
JigsawPieces
I’ve not watched the videos (yet), so may be wrong, but … that might be because using HDMI out wouldn’t show you fingers doing touch stuff?
paxpacis
True but then they could zoom in and out to the big screen.. Or impose the view of the finger action onto the big screen in a small frame.. The quality of the gameplay is now really bad..

loved wipeout and the AR stuff looks fun.

I was hoping they’d give more details of how closely linked LBP ps3 and vita are, that’ll make it or break it for me. LBP2 is my favourite game of all time but LBP psp was terrible

After playing LittleBigPlanet today I can assure you that the Vita version is amazing fun. It follows the PS3 version very well and I found it great fun. I’ve got the three games but think the Vita version really adds something compared to the PSP and sequel on the PS3.
It’s not all the same either with touch only level, traditional levels and side scrolling racing.
I cannot wait.
