  1. Ah, I’ve been waiting for this one to Europe. Hasn’t touched Dark Souls since the patch was announced.

    • waiting for the one to come to Europe*
      Haven’t touched*

      Sorry about that. :/

  2. Isn’t a Dark Soul Patch a type of beard?

  3. I just picked this up two days ago, I haven’t yet played it as I want to finish Skyrim (play until I either get the platinum or get bored) before I start any other games.

  4. Fapsmith? Large Tit Shards? Fnarr.

  5. Also notable, Eye of Death, when used by players in the Gravelord Covenant will now properly spawn black phantom versions of mobs in other players’ games to make their life (even more) difficult. Hurray!

    Gravelord servants rejoice!

  6. nerfed sounds like what happens to pets when they have they’re balls removed!

  7. People who are thinking this will fix all their troubles in Dark Souls are wrong. I was so happy when i saw this patch was released. I downloaded immediately, and commenced to start again with a new character. All the fixes do make the game a lot less unfair, however there is one major flaw.

I’m not sure 100% how, but it enables people who are a much higher level than you, to now invade your world. I was level 10, and i had someone invade me on undead burg with with Smoughs Hammer thing, which needs 50 something strength to wield. I was totally in shock, and then instantly disconnected. That’s not right.

I then loaded it up again, and was instantly invaded again. And i got one shot killed with the electric spear thing. At least that one can be explained, as it doesn’t too high stats to wield. But how sad can people be to suicide run through the game, to get that spear, purposefully not level up, and then return to the beginning area so you can get easy kills on new players???

I’ve also heard that the darkmoon clan now has no limit on what levels you invade. So being a level 50, you could invade someone of a level 80, or a level 10. I suppose that explains the Smough’s hammer thing.

Basically, if you’re new to this game, never ever ever become alive. Stay dead. Otherwise play with no internet. As the saddo’s make this game completely unenjoyable.

    • Yeah, it’s a pity that you have to deal with some real douchebags in the online part of the game. It was the same for Demon’s Souls. My first PvP fight there was against someone with a scraping spear, right after I defeated Phallanx and entered the second area for the first time. He must’ve progressed a lot further while trying to stay on a low level to create that weapon. Back then, I didn’t know about its effect and tried to fight him, and of course he completely ruined all of my equipment in the process. Took me ages to farm enough souls for the repairs.

      • I HATED the scraping spear. It really aggrivated me, although i kept the sword of moonlight on me which baffled a lot of them without a magic shield, as it goes right through normal sheilds.

Although to be honest, i loved Demons souls mroe than Dark Souls. I did it fairer. Although, maybe i just had a bad session today? After those two griefers, i literally just turned it off and went straight back to Skyrim.

Hmmm, i may try it one more time….

      • *shields

        *i did find it fairer

That’s what you get for typing when tired :P

      • I remember PvsP on Demons Souls, really enjoyed it :)
Yet to play Dark Souls though.

  8. Why have they nerfed some changes? Surely Dark Souls is hard enough without the spells doing less damage. At least they fixed some bugs that i didn’t even know about.

    • Edit: Magic not changes. I was distracted.

  9. Should it be ch-ch-ch-changes, instead of c-c-c-c-changes? a tiny bit confused..? :P

    • C-c-c-c-confused?

    • Yes, yes it should be. I am a big fool =/

I actually don’t have power over editing my own articles yet, so it shall remain c-c-c-changes until someone takes pity on me D:

      • S’alright, just sounds like you are clearing your throat! :D

      • Oh, well it’s all fine anyways, no worries lol

  10. Some good changes :) Especially the possibility to buy twinkling titanite and the increased humanity drop rate should be useful. It will also be interesting how the lock-on switching works now (that actually never worked for me).
Really have to get back to Dark Souls, got distracted by Skyrim and BF3. Maybe if I stop sleeping completely… hmm, think I got an idea.
