Raise your hands in the air and rejoice PS3 Skyrim owners, Bethesda has finally launched their long-awaited bug fix patch for the fantasy RPG epic.
As we Tweeted this morning, the patch is 92 MB and currently live in parts of Europe, including the UK.
The version 2.01 patch should fix the crippling lag bug from the PS3 version of the game, which would occur when save files reach a certain size.
Some players complained that the bug would render the game virtually unplayable, so this patch comes as great news for those of you who were intending to make your stay in the vast lands of Skyrim a long one.

Cool, i’m almost 50 hours into it and the lag has been steadily worse for last 10 hours or so. I’ll grab the update this eve if PS+ didn’t add it yet.

Thought it had fixed it at first but getting unbearable lag again now.
Damn you Bethesda, PS3 version not up to scratch as BLOODY USUAL.

Same here, it was fine for around 3 hours than it turned back into a slide show. Wish I could return the thing and get a refund now as it’s basically broken.

Unlikely as Microsoft have been free and easy with their chequebook again. Bethesda should just sack their in-house PS3 dev team and outsource it to someone who knows what they are doing.

My file’s reached 7mb and it’s only just started to lag when entering a new area, so I’ve managed to avoid any real problems. And hopefully this patch will make sure I never experience them, because the game itself is consuming my every thought, and I don’t even like RPGs!
