Game of Thrones MMORPG Being Shown at GDC

Bigpoint has announced it will provide an exclusive first look into the pre-production of the upcoming Game of Thrones browser-based massively multiplayer online role playing game at the Game Developers Conference (March 7th-9th). The developers have teamed up with HBO, and the game will be set within the world of Westeros and its Seven Kingdoms.

The design and pre-production phase of the game began last summer, and an initial closed beta is planned for “fall 2012”. The game also has an official site  to check out.

  1. Reminds me I should watch this, heard lots of good things.

    • Get the books. Only about a fiver each, except the latest one.

      • I’d love to read the books but I lack the time. My Kindle currently doesn’t get enough love. So far my plan is to watch the first season during my flight to the USA this summer…

  2. I’ll definitely check that out. Love the series.

  3. Hopefully it isn’t shit like the first attempt of the franchise, wouldn’t be interested but hopefully they don’t waste the chance of this with a great RPG and now MMO.

  4. Such a good show!
