Killer Is Dead Concept Art Surfaces

Yesterday we reported on Goichi Suda’s next game titled “Killer Is Dead.” The prolific CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture has worked on a number of bizarre cult hits over the last decade or so including No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned, and the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw. Another one of his iconic releases was 2005’s Killer7.

Despite similarities in title, Killer7 and Suda’s latest project aren’t connected. However, according to initial reports, the game will include swordplay that can be likened to Wii smash hit, No More Heroes.

Weekly Japanese gaming rag, Famitsu, has also posted a pair of concepts to accompany the publication’s coverage. Though not as vibrant as other Grasshopper games have been, gamers should not expect a departure from the studio’s twisted approach to game design.

Killer Is Dead is due to launch on both PS3 and Xbox 360 next year.

  1. For some reason the shot on the left reminds me of the artwork for Beneath a Steel Sky.

  2. Liking it.

  3. Judging by those concepts, it’s going to be a big graphical departure though they obviously are just concepts.
