Get Loads Of PSP Games Dead Cheap

Yes, Sony should be concentrating on the Vita, but – you know – lots of people still have their PSPs going strong, and to celebrate this peculiar state of affairs, Sony have dropped the prices of a load of first party games on the PSN Store.

Amusingly, the Blog says that some of them are even PS Vita compatible, but leaves it up to you to check the Store to see which ones are.  So we’ll do the same.

Regardless, Ghost of Sparta is utterly fabulous.

  1. I’ve always been intrigued by the Patapon games but didn’t have anything I could play them on until recently …

Does anyone have any recommendations on whether it’d be better to start with the first Patapon, or just get the newest now its price has dropped?

    • Not played Patapon 3, but from what I know there’s a fair difference from the first two, some people like that and some people don’t. You won’t have that problem though, and since it is meant to be more accessible then the first two games (though that’s not to say it’s easy to just pickup and play), I’d say you’d be best just going straight for Patapon 3.

  2. Looks good..I’ll grab LBP and Ghost of Sparta – if they’re Vita compatible that is.

    • They should be compatible, but I’m not aware if there is any PSP games that don’t work on the Vita.

      • Yes, i’ve checked the store now and they are both compatible so now i just have to wait for the price-drop on wed!

    • i know GOW is compatible

      • Yup GOW definately works.

Killzone doesn’t (at least it didn’t last week) Theres one other I tried that didn’t work. Can’t for the life of me think what it was just now :/

PSP games I have working on Vita are Modnation and GOW. So I can confirm those two. Apparenty the GTA’s work, but you cant map the right stick :(

  3. Utterly fantastic news! My Vita will love this!

  4. Might get GoW Ghost of Sparta to take on my hols in a few weeks. So, does anybody recommend White Knight Chronicles?

  5. Argh! Just bought resistance the other week full priced! Damnit. Good game though…

  6. Will probably pick up Gran Turismo again at that price. Vita needs a decent car racing game (ie not Wipeout/Motorstorm/ModNation)

  7. Really tempted to get Gran turismo! If I ever get a Vita, I can play it on there!

  8. If i didn’t already have Ghost of Sparta i’d pick it up for that price as its the best GOW, think i’ll get Chains of Olympus as i had that on UMD but traded it in when i got rid of my PSP.

Is Resistance any good as i haven’t played the PSP version of that and Killzone but i got the Killzone game for free after the PSN hack on my US account.

  9. Just paid £15 for chains of olympus – bad times. Look at all the rest of the sweet games for dirt cheap – good times!

  10. GT:PSP for me, my psp is sadly underused, one reason I haven’t got a vita, so that’ll keep me entertained ;)
