Halo 4 Confirmed For November 6th Release

Microsoft has just confirmed that Halo 4 will release on November 6th worldwide.  Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Studios, said:

“We are beginning a new saga with ‘Halo 4’ and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of ‘Halo’ games and experiences.

Millions of fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to step back into the boots of Master Chief, and with ‘Halo 4’ leading the charge, we’re confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history.”

Halo 4 is set four years after the conclusion of Halo 3, with the return of Master Chief who must face an enemy that threatens the whole universe.  Halo 4 is being developed by 343 Industries after Bungie stepped back from the franchise.

The Halo franchise has sold more than 40 million games worldwide as well as having spin off books, comics and other merchandise. When Halo 3 launched it set the record for biggest consumer product launch of all time.

    • Red Vs. Blue remember the Halo 4 release date.

  1. Going up against COD in the same week is certainly a brave move, although I think Halo will beat Blops 2 on the Xbox format easily.

    • I really doubt it, Blop’s sold an insane amount on 360 and if I remember correctly Reach didn’t sell half as well as Halo 3.

  2. Same time as COD, I wonder which will sell more, I have a feeling it’ll be COD.

    • please, for gods sake stop making me bloody hungry! have you seen the price of Cod these days?!?!?

      • Lol no, I don’t eat fish except Tuna, even then it’s gotta be from a sandwich shop xD

      • I’m more a swordfish guy, myself.

      • COD is only good with chips imo. In fact, when will the fecking chips DLC be released?

I prefer Salmon when it comes to fish sandwhichs but i love all types of seafood. :)

      • I don’t like the chips they do. Far too overpriced for far too little of something of mediocre quality.

  3. That is a massive risk they are taking by releasing it with COD nearby as i doubt it will do well as exclusive never do well when a major multiplat game is released.

Wasn’t Halo 3 supposed to be the last Master Chief game? Or was it just meant to be the last game?

    • It was meant to be the end of Master Chief’s story in the human-Covenant war. It was.
