Excited by shaky-cam footage? Then you will love the 24 minutes of game play footage from Quantic Dream’s Beyond. Showing how you can control Ivan’s spirit and play at being a poltergeist as well as control Jodie through the kind of gestures, actions and button prompts that you’ll be familiar with from Heavy Rain.
Speaking of rain, Madison spent a lot of time getting wet, and we’re not thinking about that shower scene, and it seems that Jodie with also be exposed to plenty of precipitation whether she’s evading law enforcement officials on a train roof, fleeing from through a forest or using Ivan as a shield while running road blocks.

The quality of the video makes it hard to judge the game’s graphical fidelity, you’ll need to refer to Sony’s press conference footage for that, but the character animation looks to be more fluid than we saw in Heavy Rain. What do you think? Has Beyond made it onto your buy-list yet?

Graphical fidelity does look great, really, properly great, vid quality is better after first 5mins.
Not totally sold on a QTE movie though, but for now this just looks wow

Let’s just hope it doesn’t take as long to come out as Heavy Rain too…

Liked Heavy Rain, and looking at Digital Foundry’s analysis on eurogamer do I only realise what Quantic Dream have managed.

Cant wait. Ellen Paige’s likeness is excellent. Hopefully move is supported, preferred that version of Heavy Rain.

I’m guessing QD and Sony already have plans for Move integration. Worked really well with Heavy Rain.
Watchful
I certainly expect it to have Move support. I can see why they’d use the sixaxis on the crowded show floor though.

I really enjoyed Heavy Rain and this is looking very similar in terms of controls.

Heavy Rain is one of my favourite gaming experiences over the last few years so i’m really looking forward to this.

Oh wow, this looks great.
Can’t wait to play this with Move.

Yup, I’ll be buying this. And The Last of Us. And Tomb Raider. And Far Cry 3.
Not so sure on Dead Space 3 yet.

I would be surprised if the protagonist doesn’t end up with hypothermia with the amount water she is subjected to. You would think she would purchase some waterproof garments at least.

Looks ace. I wish the controls would be more Uncharted-y in terms of character movement, but as long as it’s more fluid then Heavy Rain I’m all in.
