Vita Games Coming Free To PS Plus Subscribers

Japanese developer Grasshopper Manufacture have announced that five student game submissions have been selected to appear as free downloads for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The games, part of the Game Campus Festa program, involved groups of students getting early access to Vita dev kits last year, with the finished games submitted in February.

The titles that will see release in Japan are Uni Uni Union (puzzle action), Eledive (puzzle action), Octalide (action), Volt (puzzle action) and Mou, Sou Suru Shika Nai!! (puzzle).

The games will be released towards the end of June.

  1. be good if it was a proper game and not something a students knocked up…

    • there the devs of tomorrow might be really good.

  2. Tis a good start, hopefully this won’t just be tried in Japan and never see the light of day here, like so many other things. They seem to be aware we want proper Vita support anyway, I guess they just need to work out how they’ll do it without pissing off people who just own a ps3…..

  3. :o( You c*ck tease Alex – I was expecting a free game each month to make it similar to the PS3 offering!

  4. Damn it nofi, you had me all exited for nothing!

  5. I hope this doesnt come to eu…. i bought ps+ for my ps3 and if they start exchanging free ps3 games for vita games il go mad lol, i mean why should people pay for a service and then find out some of the monthly offerings are completely useless to the majority of ps+ subscribers
Vita should have its own thing like Vita+

    • no thanks, i’m not paying twice!

    • they should just add vita stuff to the ps+, it could work as an enticement for people to buy a vita, seeing all the free gubbins on offer
